Weeks run from Monday to Monday. Departure time is 11 am and arrival 4 pm.
A partner or immediate family member (adult son or daughter, parent, brother, sister) must accompany guests during a stay.
Telephone, Internet, and TV are provided by Comcast. Telephone includes unlimited local and long distance calling (no international).
The garage door (2058) and the closet (8502) inside the garage are opened by combination.
NO PETS ARE ALLOWED.
Shoes with sand accumulated or wet bathing suits are not to be worn in the house.
Sometime during stay check the HVAC system filters and replace if necessary. Spares are maintained in the garage closet.
Any item requiring repair and out of stock supply items should either be taken care of or the partner responsible (via Committee assignment) contacted. A general rule of thumb is to authorize repairs up to $200 with established maintenance providers and billed to administrative assistant, otherwise call the partner responsible or the general partner. Items such as propane, light bulbs and other replacement items should be paid for and receipts forwarded to the administrative assistant for reimbursement.
As a courtesy, if a partner is leaving early or arriving late and otherwise is not using the house for those days, notify the incoming or outgoing partner who might adjust arrival or departure for convenience purposes. When weeks are exchanged, please advise the administrative assistant.
Bicycles are not to be ridden in the surf and are to be hosed down and cleared of sand and salt after use.
Beach chairs are to be hosed down after use.
Coolers may not be filled from the ice maker in the living room as it does not function properly if emptied.
You should expect yard service once per week.
The Charleston newspaper is delivered when there is a car in the driveway.
If the propane tank is emptied or the spare is utilized, it should be refilled or replaced. (The grocery store at Freshfields has exchange replacement tanks.) If a wrench is needed, look in the garage closet.
The grill is to be covered when not in use.
Keep the outside garbage container top secured by the bungee cord. Trash is picked up on Monday and recycling is picked up on Wednesday. Both are picked up from the side yard. Yard debris is picked up on Thursday.
You MUST use ESPM, in advance and arrange for cleaning and payment. The current charge for cleaning the residence is $145.00. This does not include cleaning the fireplace. You may either clean the fireplace or ask ESPM to clean it for $5.00 extra. ESPM will not come into the house while guests remain or there are cars in the driveway.
As a courtesy to the cleaning service, please start washer if a large number of sheets and towels require laundering.
Do not leave perishable food in the refrigerator or freezer.
Empty the compactor and replace a clean disposable bag. Do not discard the carrier. Bags are found under the kitchen cabinet to far left of sink. You may leave dishes in the dishwasher provided it has been run.
The grill should be covered and left on deck.
Furniture inside the house should be returned to original position.
Sweep garage and screen porch.
Ensure that the house is locked – including windows and sliding doors, all lights off, and set the thermostat at 75 - 80 degrees in summer and 60 - 65 degrees in winter.
All partners and guests are required to complete the Weekly Log which is maintained in the kitchen.
Partners send twelve post-dated checks for monthly assessment fees in December of the preceding year to the administrative assistant.
The weekly schedule is distributed in November for the following year with weeks being assigned in rotation with exceptions for spring cleaning and an off-peak week for the administrative assistant.
All partner communications are via email, phone or text.
We hope you enjoy your week and ask that you use our home as if it were your own.
Thanks very much.
